The Spring Church COVID-19 Update, March 28, 2020
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. – Joshua 1:9
Worship Online every week
Join us for online worship Sundays at 4:30pm. You can find the links on our website. (If you want to look at the lyrics of the songs, you can download the pdfs from the website. The links will be on the website on the “Join Us For Worship Online” page.)
Sunday on Zoom
This week we will gather before the service in a Zoom gathering from 4:15-4:30pm before worship. After worship we will gather on Zoom for questions and discussion. (If you do not have Zoom, download it onto your device and allow video access. https://zoom.us/) Details and links for the gathering will be on the website as well.
Please let us pray for you and those you love
Let us know where we, as the larger church community, can be praying for you. Send prayer requests to email@example.com by noon on Saturday or text them to one of the pastors, and we will work to include those requests in the pastoral prayer during worship. And if they arrive after that time, we will lift them up to the Lord during the week.
Small groups/Missional Communities are meeting virtually
If you are not in a group and would like to be in one, contact pastor Tom Parker. (firstname.lastname@example.org, 602-206-1616) Small groups are a wonderful way to connect with others for encouragement, support, and prayer.
Sign Up For I-Help April 1
God cares deeply for those who are on the margins, and we want to do the same. On Wednesday, April 1, at 5:45 pm we will gather at Tempe Church of Christ to serve the homeless who are participating in I-Help. Because of COVID-19 we will take the best precautions that we can. The only help we need this month is for people to serve. We will serve the main dish and salad on plates at the tables. We will have gloves for anyone involved. (Joe, put the sign up here button)
Do you need help?
- If you have spiritual needs,
- or if you feel anxious or isolated,
- or if you have been hit hard economically,
- or if you have the virus,
- or if you need practical assistance with groceries, prescriptions, or other essential errands…please let us know.
If we are able, we want to help. Pastor Tom can be reached at email@example.com, 602-206-1616 and Pastor Gayle can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org, 602-999-3128.
Also, check out our website for some helpful resources.
Do you want to help?
We are putting a team together for the purpose of being able to meet practical needs, as they arise. If you would like the opportunity to serve on that team, contact Katie Carter at email@example.com.
Generosity and Prayer
Now is the time to pray faithfully and give generously, not only of your time, but your finances. We’ve had a few people notify us that they will be increasing their giving during this time. We thank God that we have people who are thinking that way and are living generously in this anxious time!
In addition to giving to the general fund, you can give to our benevolence fund, which goes to help individuals in need.
